Blackberry Banana Chia Smoothie

Juicy, sweet, succulent, antioxidant rich...blackberries! So bright and beautiful.

I can not get enough of fresh berries in the warmer months. Cherries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries...all of them!

Oh, and smoothies - can't get enough of those either! Breakfast made easy. Or…have one as a mid-day snack...or post workout replenisher...or dessert! They're so very versatile. I make them often in the spring and summer months and what a great way for the kiddos to get in their greens!

Blackberry Banana Chia Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana, chunked

  • 1 cup blackberries {fresh or frozen}

  • 1/4 medium avocado flesh

  • 1 cup chopped kale

  • 1/2 cup dairy free yogurt (plain or vanilla)

  • 1 cup plant-based milk

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp stevia (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. May have to stop and stir several times to help along.

Notes

If using frozen blackberries, may have to add a bit more milk to help the blending process. Makes 1 large or 2 small smoothies

And now I must clip coupons, grocery shop, fold laundry, and go for a run...because that's what Sunday's at my home look like.
